Dear SCOREans,
After having adopted the Global Priority of ‘Access to Research and Research Education’ and the Policy Document on ‘Access to Research and Research Education’, we are expecting IFMSA members to advocate for Research and Research Exchanges. However, we lack the materials to advocate for ARRE.
All current documents, such as the ‘External representation & Academic recognition in Exchanges’ and the ‘IFMSA Profile Book’ are great, but they have not been updated since 2014-2015, nor are they of any relevance for our work regarding Research Education.
LOREs & NOREs have been asking for a manual with a step by step approach on how to advocate for Research & Research Exchanges as well as materials to accompany these steps, such as flyers, infographics and a short booklet about the work and evolution of SCORE. Therefore, a Small Working Group is working on creating these tools.
Hence the objectives of this SWG are:
– Create a step by step approach in advocacy work for SCORE in the form of a concise manual.
– Update the SCORE flyer for tutors with relevant information and to create a SCORE flyer for universities.
– Create an infographic highlighting the work of SCORE in terms of Research Exchanges & Research Education.
