As the Health Policy pillar of EMSA, we are so excited to announce our webinar sessions all about policy making! Whether you are totally new to Health Policy or with lots of experience – we hope you enjoy the ePolicy 101 series which will give you the knowledge and tools crucial for you to bring about the change you want to see in the world.

Step by step, we will learn all about the Institutions of the EU 🇪🇺, Legislative System of the EU, Health Policy Basics, and EMSA Policy Statements. As the title of this project suggests, it is a complete beginner’s course, so join in and let the four sessions give you a great insight into the world of change-makers, and inspire you to be one.

Session #1: Institutions of the European Union

What are the main institutions in the EU, and how do they reach decisions? Find out in the first session of e-Policy 101. In this introductory meeting, you will meet other participants and become familiar with the goals and structure of this course. Be ready for an interactive learning experience!

Session #2: The Legislative System of the European Union

The legislative procedure of the European Union is a mystery to many; nevertheless, the EU can exert a significant influence on member states through policy making. Have you ever wondered whether a student organisation can get the chance to state its point of view in this process? Let’s discuss it together.

Session #3: Health Policy Basics

Although health policy has a great impact in the real life of physicians, medical students are often unsure of what areas it covers precisely. With this session, you will learn how health policies are developed and how to understand them effectively.

Session #4: How to write an EMSA Policy Statement
