Webinar: Pandemic Preparedness with a focus on human rights

This week, we present to you our third webinar series on COVID-19 Preparedness, with a focus on Human Rights by Dr. Stellah Wairimu Bosire-Otieno.

Dr. Bosire is a Kenyan physician and an advocate for Human Rights.

She is currently the Co- Executive Director of UHAI EASHRI and the Vice Chair of the HIV/AIDS Tribunal of Kenya. She is also the immediate former C.E.O. of the Kenya Medical Association (KMA).

Dr. Bosire is a globally renown human rights advocate with several achievements, including:

  • The Queen of England’s Point of Light Awardee (2019)
  • Accountability International Leadership Awardee (2019) 🥇
  • Top 100 Most Influential Kenyans (2019)🥇
  • Top 40 Women Under 40 in Kenya ( 2017)

She was also an Aspen 2018 Global Fellow and fellow of the British Connect Future Leaders Program.

She graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2012 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree. She also holds an MSC in Global Health Policy from the University of London, an MBA Healthcare Management from Strathmore Business School and a diploma in Reproductive Health from the Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research.
