European Sting Call for articles: Vaccination


Summary:

1. Background: The call for the articles for the European Sting magazine. As per the IFMSA’s partnership with the Sting our members can submit their pieces and express their views on the topic mentioned in the call.

2. The topic of the articles: Vaccination: understanding the challenges surrounding COVID-19 vaccination campaigns

3. Requirements for the submission:

a.      write an article related to the topic

b.      make sure it meets all the requirements mentioned in the email

4. Deadline: submit a full article to the submission form by the 25th of January 23:59 GMT

1. Background:

The European Sting is a political newspaper that aims to bring unbiased and trustworthy information to their readers not only about European Affairs but about almost any political, economical and social topic. Furthermore, the Sting welcomes its readers to take part in this constructive and critical dialogue! As per the IFMSA’s partnership with the Sting, any medical student worldwide is able to voice their ideas, concerns, opinions and dreams in a global online magazine.

2. The topic of the articles: During this call, we will be accepting articles on the following topic:

Vaccination: understanding the challenges surrounding COVID-19 vaccination campaigns

If you are interested in the topic above and you would like to share your ideas with us and the world, please familiarize yourself carefully with the requirements and the deadline.

3. Requirements for the submission: The incoming articles need to adhere to the following specifications:

  • Clearly defined brief title
  • Up to 500 words article body text
  • Profile picture of the writer
  • Up to 100 words brief biography of the writer (written in third-person perspective)
  • Email address of the writer

Please ensure to submit us your article and the part “about the author” with your photo in a separate document. Also bear in mind that articles must be submitted in a format that allows for them to be edited using a Word processor. Hand-written and/or scanned articles will not be accepted. Articles not submitted according to the specifications of the call will not be accepted. 

To be eligible for publication, the author also needs to follow European Sting on Facebook and/or twitter @europeansting.

4. When and where to send the article?

Submit the required documents through the submission form no later than by the 25th of January 23:59 GMT.

5. Information on data processing:  

We would like to inform you that we collect some personal data while receiving the articles. All personal data that we collect, such as the name of the author, email address, the resume is only there to allow us to establish contact with the applicant and provide information about the author of the text to the European Sting magazine, and it is only collected for this purpose. The data will be deleted at the end of the current term (30/09/2021). If you would like to remove your personal data before the aforementioned time, please send a request to rdeurope@ifmsa.org ccing vpprc@ifmsa.org in your response. To know more about IFMSA’s management of your data, please find our privacy policy at https://ifmsa.org/privacy.  If your article is accepted, the information provided in the resume, such as your name and country will be made public for recognition of your submission.
